Restaurants

All restaurants located in Brewster, unless otherwise noted.

Sesuit Harbor Cafe: Home of the Lobster Cruise (see below) and a great outdoor spot down the road and on the bay in the Sesuit section of Dennis. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner on land. Book early for the Cruises.

Brewster Fish House: Take a short walk to 6A (.25 mi) and you’re at a fantastic restaurant, one of our favorites. The Lobster Bisque is a winner.

3 Fools: A new favorite as of 2021, great pizza, Italian dinners, and falafel sandwiches. In Orleans.

Viv’s Kitchen: Delicious fresh juices, and they also serve sandwiches and salads, in the Staples shopping plaza in Orleans. Awesome health-conscious spot.

JT’s Seafood: Great spot with lots of outdoor seating for local fried seafood + ice cream, in the center of town on 6A. Takeout available, too.

Snowy Owl: A cozy local coffee shop roasting their own beans on 6A in town, delicious coffee drinks and a simple selection of baked goods. They recently opened for the summer season. Also check out the vegan spot next door, and the hardware store is great for beach supplies, too.

Guapo’s: Fish tacos! Check out this tortilla shack just down Underpass Road for Mexican street food including tacos, burritos, and their famous 16 oz margaritas.

Stone Lovin’: Good pizza, right around the corner on Underpass Road.

Cafe Alfresco: A great breakfast and lunch spot, we hear they have a tasty lobster roll and new ice cream spot in the same location.

Eat Cake 4 Breakfast: Also close-by, their shiny new digs are just off Underpass Road on Wampum Dr. - this bakery serves up decadent treats, including their famous Brewster buns (get ‘em early), pies, cakes, and more.

Laurino’s Tavern: Pub style food, including pizzas and Italian.

Land Ho: A local favorite in Orleans for seafood, burgers, and a lively bar scene, usually packed and reliably solid.

Hole in One: Another local favorite, this time for breakfast and fresh doughnuts. In Orleans.

Kate’s Seafood: A favorite local Cape seafood shack near Paine’s Creek Beach.

The Beach Bar: (at Ocean’s Edge): Treat yourself to views of Brewster bay over lunch or dinner or just drinks.

Apt Cape Cod: At the site of the old Brewster Coffee Shop, a new favorite within walking distance.

Cobie’s: A traditional Cape seafood shack + ice cream.

Mac’s Shack: A little drive up to Welfleet, is well worth it for this renowned seafood shack + restaurant in a town with beautiful dramatic dune beaches.

Ice Cream spots abound (JT’s, Brewster Scoops, Cobies, and more). Our favorite local spot is the Ice Cream Smuggler on 6A in Dennis.

Fun

Rail Trail: Catch the trail, just 1 mile from the house, and ride toward Harwich and Chatham, past beautiful kettle ponds, or north towards Orleans, Eastham, and Wellfleet. This beautiful, tree lined path connects us with a number of great restaurants and fun spots along its trail - we love it for biking, running, and walking.

Beaches: Brewster is home to a number of beautiful beaches. Almost directly across Rt. 6A is Point of Rocks - while there’s really no parking (a few spots if you get lucky) it’s a .8 mi walk or ride from the house and beautiful, especially for sunsets. We also love Breakwater beach.

We also like Nauset Beach in Orleans, and Cahoon Hollow (with the Beachcomber restaurant) up in Welfleet for ocean beaches.

The Brewster Store: A classy general store style local stomping ground with basics and penny candy. Ice cream next door at the Brewster Scoop.

Lobster Roll Cruises: Just down 6A in Dennis, on the bay, enjoy a lunch, dinner, or sunset cruise with or without a meal, but come on, how great does a Lobster Roll on a boat on the bay sound?! Cruises book up, make reservations in advance.

The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History: Come explore and learn about the natural history of the Cape, and enjoy a walk across a salt marsh out to a quaint bay beach.

Grocery

Shaws: For a regular grocery store, Shaw’s on 6A in Orleans is your best bet - close and has most everything. Or if you prefer, look up the Stop and Shop in Dennis, just a bit further away.

Ferretti’s: Our go-to for a quick shop or to pick up an item or two - they have just about anything. Located at Underpass and Rt. 137 - less than 2 mi from the house. They have beer and wine, too.
